Driving out to check messages sucks. Especially when no one has anything new to share.
Plus side: hit a few convenience stores and gas stations. Won't have to worry about funds for awhile.
C said something big going down. Heading toward South Dakota, will call E & H as soon as outside deadzone.
Case notes, day 10:
S. No sign of. Ellen said he was driving a (color & car), tag number (#). Have backtracked the route from DGR through San Bernardino, no luck. GPS activated, bust. Phone either off or in deadzone. Not much else to go on. Hope to god the stubborn sonofabitch is okay. He should have never gone anywhere near California.
J. Located motel room and gear (knives, guns, journal, computer -- no phone). Traces of sulfur on windows but salt-lines intact. May indicate demon(s) involved but not likely. Checked w/ front desk. J not the only one to go missing from that motel. Branched out -- others reporting disappearances. Part of seal? Will call E, activate GPS. Not expecting miracles. |

Has anyone else seen this? Found it in the Times this morning. Also saw it on the TV. None of us were in China, were we? Also, does this mean there's gonna be a shortage of Chinese food?
Thousands dead, missing
BEIJING (AP) - The nation is currently baffled by the sudden disappearances and deaths of thousands of Chinese children, authorities say.
The first call to authorities came in around midnight on Thursday. A spokeswoman for Beijing law enforcement say it was not the first of its type. The office has since fielded more than ten thousand calls from concerned parents.
"I put my daughter to bed on Wednesday. When I went to check on her in the morning, she was gone," one mother said.
Unfortunately, disappearances are not the only thing baffling authorities.
"My son was out late with his friends. Several of them didn't come home, but the ones who did, they just died," said another parent.
Medical examiners have no explanation for what caused the deaths.
"If I didn't know better, I'd say they all suffered massive heart failure. But that many children, at the same time?" said one ME who refused to be named.
"We simply can't explain it." |

And every day I told him to stick it where the sun shines. For thirty years I told him, but then I couldn't do it anymore Sammy, I couldn't. And I got off that rack, and God help me, I started ripping them apart.
